Yesterday I lost a dream because of this:
Gesture-based computing on the cheap
The dream I had last night was as a scientist. I went from lab chamber to lab chamber attempting to contain a biological contaminant from spreading. But somehow, eventually, I became part of the contaminant. I wandered sometimes as a green mist and sometimes as a humanoid form, trying to choke and take down later scientists trying to take me down.
The confrontation eventually came about between me (in humanoid form) and them, and I surprised myself by asking a peculiar question: Where is the specialist who trained me into who I am?
FLASHBACK SAMPLE AX301:
I was a humanoid developed from a set of cells that are superhuman. Not in talent, just in speed. As a male specimen, I was trained in male etiquette, but all I thought about was work.
FLASHBACK:
A female sample and I are in a rapid transit module, and all we talked about was work. "I need to work." "So do I." "I gotta work." "So do I." On and on in rapid conversation until her trainer showed up. Alone in the transit module I got frustrated, needing more meaning and trying to stop my thoughts, because my imagination would NEVER make it to recorded history.
FLASHBACK:
"Class, this is a sample who is changing concentration to creative writing."
Someone bursts onto the scene; I thought it was me, but it was not; I'm sitting in a chair; Next to 2 girls; Sample blurts out tons of creative thoughts seemingly as rapid paced and incoherent as mine; Everyone is amazed but I know who he is inside; He seems to levitate with energy, and settles into a couch next to 2 other girls; The couch moves like a wave; It is a massage couch; Suddenly the couch beneath me moves; Am I the sample?
Then I wake up. |
